Download it

Every interview recording is in the voice archive in your workspace, each with its own download. For a full copy of everything else (account details, transcripts, chapters and photos), write to hello@yourtale.art from the email address on your account. We send it within 30 days, in common formats you can open without us.

Correct it

You edit every chapter yourself in the workspace, so anything wrong in the book is yours to change. To correct your account details or anything you cannot change yourself, write to us.

Delete a story or your whole account

Write to hello@yourtale.art from the email address on your account and tell us what to delete: one story, one recording, or the whole account. There is no delete button yet, so we do it by hand and confirm by email when it is done.

Deleting your sign-in from the account menu closes your login but does not remove your stories. To remove them, write to us as above, from the same email address.

• We delete it from our live systems within 30 days.
• Copies in our backups are gone within 90 days.
• Deletion cannot be undone. Download anything you want to keep first.

If the story is about you

Most stories are about someone other than the account holder. If you are the person interviewed, or someone named in a story, you can write to us directly about the data that concerns you, and we will handle it the same way.

If you are not happy with how we handle it

Tell us first at hello@yourtale.art; we answer our own email. You can also complain to Datatilsynet, the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, at any time, or to the data protection authority where you live.
