How it works.

Three steps, from the first conversation to a finished book on the shelf.

Step one

An AI interviews you.

A few voice sessions, 30 to 45 minutes each, on your schedule. The AI asks about your life, listens, and follows up. You just talk.

Step two

We write your chapters.

Your stories become chapters (childhood, work, family, the moments that mattered), written in your own words from what you said.

Step three

You get a hardcover book.

You review every chapter, choose the cover, and we print it. A real book, bound to last, that your family keeps for generations.

ii.

The sessions.

Eight to twelve sessions on average. 30 to 45 minutes each. By voice, on your schedule, over six to twelve weeks.

01First session

A broad conversation about your whole life. We use it to sketch the chapters (childhood, family, work, the turning points) and plan the sessions ahead.

Session 1Tell me about where you grew up. Who lived there with you?
02Chapter sessions

One chapter per session. We ask follow-up questions to capture the details: names, dates, what happened, what you remember.

Session 6 · Chapter: My fatherYou mentioned your father kept his tools in a tin. What was in it?
03Review & print

We write each chapter and send it to you. You read it, mark anything wrong, and we revise. Once you're happy, we print the book.

Questions.

If yours isn't here, email hello@yourtale.com.

Anyone who wants a life recorded in a book. Most of our writers are between 60 and 90, and most sign up because a child or grandchild suggested it. It also works for capturing a specific period: the early years of a company, a marriage, or one particular chapter of a life.
We're straight about this. An AI runs the interviews and writes the chapters from what you actually said. You are the editor: you read every chapter, change anything that's wrong, and approve it before it prints. Nothing reaches the page unless you've approved it. We don't ghostwrite, and we don't invent.
You don't need to be. Our job is to ask the right questions. Yours is to answer them honestly. The writing and the structure are handled for you.
Six to twelve weeks from first session to printed book. Eight to twelve sessions, 30 to 45 minutes each, at whatever pace works for you. You can take longer if you want.
Yours. We transcribe every session and write the book using your own phrasing and the way you actually speak. You review every chapter and can change anything that doesn't sound right.
Encrypted, in the EU. Only you, and anyone you invite, can access your transcripts. You can request full deletion at any time, including after the book is printed. We never use your data to train models.
Yes. Extra copies are $40 each. We keep your file on hand for ten years after your last reprint, so you can order more for family any time.
